TernarySequence® // Detergent technology developed by kolb

Ternary Sequence® is a kolb developed detergent technologywith a three sequence process. Detergents with TS-technology are homogenous filtration media, which first clean products thoroughly and regenerate entirely afterwards, without needing an extra phase-separation. The regenerative TS-detergents have several advantages, e.g:

  • Broad cleaning spectrum
  • Regeneration through simple filtration (suitable even for systems with very simple filtration)
  • Long lifetime and thus high economic efficiency
  • Process stability for PCB cleaning by the use of salt-free feedstock
  • Application temperature from 18°C

Working with kolb TernarySequence® technology

Sequence 1: Elimination of particle adhesion

Cleaning detergent molecules move under / dissolve the adhesion of the contamination and remove all contamination / particles from the product.

Sequence 2: De-activation of particles

Cleaning detergent molecules encapsulate (homogenous encapsulation) the contamination / particles completely without the necessity to separate them from the mixture first. All particles are fully de-activated and can no more bind to other areas of the products or the cleaning system itself.

Sequence 3: Transfer of particles to filtration

Encapsulated and de-activated contaminants / particles mixed entirely in the filterable cleaning liquid can simply be filtered / retained in a mechanical filter. After the filtration the cleaning detergent is regenerated and cleaning detergent molecules are ready to repeat the process.
